About Me

Via Goode is a former preschool teacher, teacher’s aide, and substitute teacher. She has been a professional storyteller since 2011, headlining hundreds of performances in public and private schools and at various public libraries in Hampton Roads. Via is a member of the Virginia Storytelling Alliance, the National Storytelling Network, and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). After first joining Arts for Learning in 2012, Via was named the Teaching Artist of the year in 2015.
Via has also been trained through the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning. Wolf Trap teaching artists partner with teachers and caregivers of children ages four to six-years-old to improve learning through the performing arts: using music, dance, drama, and puppetry to bring literacy and math concepts to life!
