Program Description
Students learn about cultures from around the world through their puppets: shadow and rod puppets from India and southeast Asia, bunraku puppets from Japan, marionettes from Europe, and classic American bigmouth puppets. Using everyday objects, students create their own puppets to tell their personal stories with Rainbow Puppets.

Technical Requirements
Technical requirements are flexible based on the host’s capabilities.
Materials Students will need:
White lunch paper bags
Markers
Scissors
Glue sticks
Brass fasteners
Strong plastic straws
Miscellaneous craft items to decorate puppets (i.e. scrap paper, feathers, googly eyes, glitter, etc…)
