About Me
DeMia Lindsey-Mitchell is an accomplished educator, self-published author, and illustrator who loves inspiring young minds. As a native of the Park Place neighborhood of Norfolk, Virginia, she felt a strong desire to make a difference in her community, so she began a journey in mentoring and teaching. DeMia is a former art teacher with Norfolk Public Schools and holds an associate degree in graphic design, a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, and a master’s degree in education.
