Program Description
In this interactive workshop, bibliotherapy, also known as poetry therapy, utilizes language, symbol, and story so that students learn they can express themselves through literature. The workshop begins with a warm-up, continues through a reading of literature and discussion, and builds to a time of creating and sharing. Goals may include understanding and accepting diversity, encouraging positive thinking, enhancing curiosity, cultivating empathy, boosting self-confidence, and playing with language for enhanced learning.
