About Me
Cindy Aitken has been with Arts for Learning since 2008, receiving A4L’s “Teaching Artist of the Year” honor in 2011. Cindy holds a Master of Science in Education as well as a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Cindy has found that students learn best through music, drama, and movement, which was the inspiration behind her copyrighting more than 20 songs through the Library of Congress and creating more than 10 plays for young children. Cindy incorporates both American Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish into many of her lessons to reach an even broader community of learners.
