Summer Camps

Is your child ready to get out of the house? It’s time to learn and have fun this summer! Click HERE for registration information!

Suffolk Center Summer Camps Overview:
• Open to campers entering Grades 1 – 6 during the next school year.
• Camps run Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
• Snacks provided ~ Campers must bring a lunch (including beverage) from home for each day of camp.
• Registration fee covers all instruction, materials, and supplies for the camps.

This summer Arts for Learning is partnering with the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts to present three summer camps! Your child will have three different opportunities to participate in our award-winning camps: Theater, Visual Arts, and S.T.E.A.M!

 

MUSICAL THEATER CAMP
Lights! Action! Camera!
June 20 – July 1, 2022
Monday – Friday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

$425 Early bird registration fee through May 13 
$475 After May 13 through June 1

Explore the enchantment of the performing arts at this summer’s two-week long Musical Theater Camp at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts. With guidance from Arts for Learning’s teaching artists, campers will have the chance to do it all—write scripts; design sets, props, and costumes; sing; dance; act; and more! Campers will learn what it takes to create and participate in an original production from start to finish—and then dazzle family and friends with their unique, one-of-a-kind show on Friday, July 1!

VISUAL ART CAMP
Arts from Around Your World
August 1-5, 2022
Monday – Friday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

$225 Early bird registration fee through May 13
$275 Registration fee after May 13

Children will experience the cultures of other parts of the world – Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Caribbean – as they create multiple visual arts projects. While discovering ties between cultures and art forms and having lots of hands-on fun, they’ll investigate their own cultures and heritage.
*Parents and families will be invited to a closing event on Friday, August 5.

STEAM CAMP
August 8-12, 2022
Monday – Friday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

$225 Early bird registration fee through May 13
$275 Registration Fee after May 13

In our summer STEAM camp, Arts for Learning’s teaching artists will inspire students to think creatively through all aspects of STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Campers will experience hands-on learning with projects that include designing using 3D printers, experimenting with dyeing textiles, drawing and assembling tessellations, and so much more. This camp will help kids learn to think on their feet, problem solve, work collaboratively—and have lots of summer fun with their peers! *Parents and families will be invited to a closing event on Friday, August 12.
