Program Description
With graphic novels exploding in popularity, students may be interested in making a comic of their own—but may be too intimidated to try or not know where to begin. Students in this workshop will read comics, study comics, and make comics through discussion and exercises that demystify the process and show that making comics is a great way for anyone to share an idea. Students will learn about the vocabulary, tools, and techniques of creating comics, but most importantly they will learn that none of these is a barrier to getting started so they can Make Comics Now!
