Program Description
Using the Hybrid engine design as the inspiration, this lesson examines the conversion of energy between hybrid engine components to power an automobile. Student create movement motifs that represent the various components of a hybrid engine, including the gas and electric motors, the brakes, and battery. After creating these motifs, students then learn to use musical counts as a way to synchronize and demonstrate how the components work together in a coordinated manner transferring energy between components.
