Program Description
Musical trio Swirl unveils the soulful roots of America’s pop music in this exploration of the blues, one of America’s original art forms. Using the blues as a device to teach concepts in math, literacy, and social studies, Swirl takes students through an interactive program, which includes activities such as writing their own blues verses, using different rhythms to practice counting by twos, threes, or fours, or clapping the beats of different notes.
