About Me

SOLE Defined is the leading arts organization in the greater Washington, D.C. area that specializes in percussive dance, using the body as an instrument to create musical expression. Advancing styles such as tap, stepping, body percussion, sand dance, and gumboot, this BIPOC-led company delights and inspires audiences of all ages. The group has performed in distinguished venues both nationally and internationally, including the Kennedy Center, Jacobs Pillow, and the Smithsonian.

SOLE Defined are a touring ensemble from Maryland. Please contact Aisha Noel, Programs and Community Engagement Manager, at 757-961-3737 to discuss tour availability!

What is a tour? A tour is a set number of programs (3-10) scheduled within a specific time span (2-5 days) and within a specific region. Tours are subject to change or cancellation if the minimum number of programs and/or dates are not met.

All tour pricing is subject to change based on number of programs, travel distance, hotel stays, and meals. Please contact us if you have any questions.
