Program Description
Impressions of Me: Identity in Print is a visual arts workshop that fosters personal expression and community connection through the art of block printing. Participants are introduced to the fundamentals of block printing on fabric, gaining both technical skills and an understanding of design as a form of visual storytelling. Through guided activities, participants use symbolic imagery to explore aspects of personal identity, culture, and lived experience. The program emphasizes reflection, creativity, and dialogue, cultivating a shared space where individual stories contribute to a collective expression.

Technical Requirements
Materials needed: White 100% cotton pre-washed T-shirts
Soft-cut linoleum blocks (4×6 inches) or 9×12 foam sheets (cut in half)
6 Brayers (4″ soft rubber rollers)
6 Inking trays (or foam plates/trays)
2–3 Bottles of fabric block printing ink (black + 1–2 colors)
8 Carving tools (e.g., Speedball lino cutters) – for adult use
Pencils + 10 Black fine-tip permanent markers
1 Set of assorted stencils (letters, symbols, shapes)
Disposable aprons or smocks
1 Box of disposable gloves (nitrile or latex-free)
Table covers (plastic or reusable cloth)
