Participants work with a YAV professional Teaching Artist to create their own comic strips. This workshop teaches storytelling components, such as action, dialogue, description, inner monologue, exposition and narrative. Participants will explore how to implement graphic novel into a variety of subjects, how to use as individual work as well as a collaborative project. How can research factor into the development of a graphic novel? How can you extend the visual art into digital art in your classroom?
