Program Description
Can a tortoise shell be made with triangles and rectangles? This interactive workshop explores how to incorporate math concepts in order to craft beautiful artwork based on things students see throughout their day. With the acronym M.O.S.A.I.C., students will learn geometric terminology: Midpoint, Octagon, Square, Acute Triangle, Isosceles Triangle, and Concave. Using straight lines and shapes, participants will create beautiful mosaics of everyday objects with geometric shapes.
