About Me

The Clivia String Trio was formed in the fall of 2005 by members Jocelyn Smith, viola; and cellist Peter Greydanus, who are members of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Greydanus is a member of the Richmond Symphony as well. Collectively they have attended McGill University, the University of Northern Illinois, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and Temple University. As symphony members and avid chamber music performers, recitalists, and soloists, their musical travels have taken them all over the US and Canada as well as Italy, Germany, Norway, Denmark and Switzerland. While working with children is a primary concern of the trio, Clivia also pursues an active performance career.
